Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD) is NAVWAR’s focal point for maintenance, repair, installation, delivery, Cyber posture management and sustainment issues for the NAVWAR product line. Installation management includes planning, integration, metrics, contracting, process improvement, analysis, reporting, execution, and other activities which support the installation of hardware (HW) and software (SW) products from across the SPAWAR Enterprise as well as from other SYSCOMs and organizations. FRD supports Fleet Commander, TYCOM, ISIC and unit level in conducting Cyber management of all SPAWAR and liaisons with sister SYSCOMs in the effectiveness and efficiency vulnerability management of networked systems. FRD manages various in-service programs transitioned from PEOs and provides in-service sustainment advocacy through coordination with the Fleet Systems Engineering Teams (FSETs), Program Offices (PMWs), In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs), Fleet Support Teams, and Training Support. On this task order NAVWAR is acquiring program management, business management, and executive level support for the Office of the Chief Engineer (CHENG) (SPAWAR 5.0), the Acquisition and Program Management Competency (SPAWAR 6.0), the SPAWAR Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD), and other SPAWAR Competencies.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Installation Planning Analyst/Project Management Support is responsible for managing and coordinating U.S. Navy modernization installations, tracking milestones, preparing technical documentation, analyzing risks, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget on the NAVWAR 5.0, 6.0 FRD Professional Support Services (PSS) contract. This position is located in San Diego, CA.
What You'll Do:
- Plans, integrates, tracks, coordinates, and executes installation management activities.
- Prepares, review, monitors, updates, and tracks technical and programmatic documents such as briefing materials and fielding plans.
- Delivers status updates for the installation tasks and milestones.
- Analyzes installation and production operations and systems, to include providing recommendations for risk reduction strategies.
- Identifies schedule, technical variances, and provides technical questions and recommendations.
- Prepares technical documentation.
- Reflects changes in installation strategies in program planning documentation.
- Provides technical support for production and installation Configuration Management.
- Tracks estimated costs for installations, to include updates for shore installation data.
- Prepares shore-related products such as Standard Plans, Test Plans, Installation SOVT Reports, Installation Design Plans (IDPs), etc.
- Perform risk analysis and reporting on all Ship Installation Drawing (SID) packages being worked by the planning yards for all avails within A-22 months of avail start.
- Maintain and submit the weekly Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD) 200 Planning readiness reports for Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC).
- Maintain and submit the weekly FRD 200 Accelerated Capability to the Fleet (ACF) Authorizations Summary report.
- Cover the duties of the FRD 200 Installation Planning Manager (Special Projects) as required.
- Analyze the ACF Fielding Plan to ensure all installation and contracting requirements are completed per established planning milestones.
- Assist the Fleet Installation Offices (FIOs) and Program Management Office (PMWs) with issues that require expedited funding, authorizations, and artifacts as required by accelerated installation schedules.
- Keep FRD leadership aware of and offer solutions for risk mitigation and scheduling alternatives to plan changes that may pose a risk to completion as scheduled.
- Utilize the U.S. Navy planning process and the Navy Modernization process guidelines and milestones to ensure planning milestones are met to reduce risk to completing directed installations on time and on budget.
- Coordinate with multiple Navy program offices and external agencies to ensure they are aware of recent and pending changes to the plan, and identify potential issues with scheduling, approvals, and funding.
- Track the installation plan in detail, conduct installation planning and execution meetings, and generate progress and risk management reports for senior leadership as required.
- Develop agenda and lead weekly meetings with members of FRD, PMWs, and FIOs including the ACF Planning and Execution meeting, ACF Planning and coordination meeting (LANT), ACF Planning and Coordination Meeting (PAC), and the bi-weekly ACF Advanced Planning Deep Dive Meeting
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- HS Diploma required.
- Three (3) years of professional experience supporting the installation of hardware and software products.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is desired.
INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
